Megan E. Pravda

Born and raised in Palm Beach Gardens, I have had the privilege of growing up in this South Florida paradise. When I am not working, you will find me reading under a palm tree or soaking up the sun at Juno Beach.

My hobbies include real estate, baking, exercising, and practicing mindfulness. I am a proud dog mom to Ivy, my sweet little chihuahua, who always makes sure I am awake ten minutes before my alarm goes off.

Being raised by a single mother, I have seen firsthand how chaotic and stressful family matters can be.

Divorce, child custody, child support—I was there through it all, and I made a promise to myself that if I were ever given the opportunity, I would become the advocate that my mom needed through her divorce.

I have always been fascinated by how the mind works. Because of this, I got my Bachelor’s in Psychology at Florida State University. My major provided me with the tools necessary to understand mental illness and how to defend against manipulative, narcissistic, sociopathic, and even psychopathic personalities.

After graduating magna cum laude from FSU and becoming a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Society, I worked for three years in the education industry. I worked with children grades K through 12 in all academic areas and catered to their individual intellectual needs. I really enjoyed teaching because it helped me develop a new way of thinking—like a kid. As paternity cases and many divorce cases involve children, I have found that looking at life from a child’s perspective allows me to understand what their best interests truly are in such family law cases.

Following my time as an educator, I attended the University of Miami School of Law, where I  really developed my passion for family law. After graduating cum laude, I studied simultaneously for my real estate broker’s license and the Florida Bar Exam, passing both exams on my first try.

I strive to obtain the best results for my clients, and as a child of divorce myself, I am sympathetic to my clients’ needs.
