Kristi Pitts

Divorce and Family Law Attorney

I was born and raised in Coral Springs, and have lived in Florida for almost the entirety of my life. I attended Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for high school, and participated in various local and global ministries. I then attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida for my undergraduate studies, and graduated cum laude with a degree in Business Management and Political Science.

Following my time in Tallahassee, I attended law school at Liberty University School of Law in Lynchburg, Virginia, where I served as the Student Bar Association student body president. My two favorite memories in that role were having the opportunity to speak at graduation and planning the annual Barrister’s Ball two years in a row.  During my time in law school, I also participated on the Moot Court Competition Team, and won the “Best Brief Award” in the intrascholastic competition. During that time, I also worked for the General Counsel in Liberty University’s Office of Legal Affairs and gained experience in various legal matters, including corporate governance, Title IX, and intellectual property matters to name a few. In the summer before my third year of law school, I gained experience as a Judicial Intern for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. However, it was not until I took a family law course in my third year of law school that I realized my true passion was in helping families through various legal proceedings they may face. While I loved law school in Virginia, I was happy to return to sunny Florida, be near my family, and begin advocating for my clients.

Upon moving back to Florida, I worked at another local family law firm before joining the Bruce Law Firm team. For the entirety of my post-law school legal career, I have exclusively practiced in the area of divorce and family law, having handled various matters involving divorces, paternity cases, step-parent adoptions, and domestic violence matters.  I have advocated for clients in Broward, Palm Beach, and Martin County, both in the trial court and the appellate court.
