I am a true Florida Native, born and raised. I have lived in South Florida my entire life with the majority of it being in the Wellington area.

My parents divorced when I was in 5th grade. I found the divorce to be particularly hard on my family. My sister and I lived a life that was different from our friends. We had two homes, celebrated double holidays, two of everything. When people ask me why my focus is on Divorce and Family Law my answer is simple; I want to help families transition into a healthy, positive life in a way that is best for not only the parents, but especially the children. Having the firsthand experience of living with divorced parents, I know how hard it can be on the children and the rest of the family. I have focused my legal career in the area of Divorce and Family Law for the simple fact of wanting to help people better themselves and their lives.

Growing up in Wellington, one of the “Horse Capitals” of the world, I spent my days in the barn doing what I loved most. As a child and teenager, I trained and competed on circuit as a hunter/jumper rider. I was fortunate enough to be able to grow up with horses, a passion I will always have. My goal is to one day get back in the saddle and hopefully pick up right where I left off.

I have a daughter who was born only months before I graduated law school. When I am not in the office, I am spending time with my family and my very large dogs, Smoke, Stella, Pawsy, and Rambo. I am super family oriented and love doing any sort of activity that involves the family getting together.

Education & Prior Affiliations

Divorce and Family Law have been in my blood since day one of my professional career. While attending college to obtain an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies from Florida Gulf Coast University, I worked for a solo practitioner divorce attorney in Palm Beach Gardens. I began at the firm as a Legal Assistant and worked my way up. I was a Paralegal for the firm and the Office Manager for a little under 4 years.

Once I was admitted to Law school at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, I left the firm to begin my journey to becoming a lawyer. Since I was in High School, I knew for a fact I wanted to be an attorney and told myself I wouldn’t stop until my goal became reality. I continued to work at a family law firm throughout law school until the birth of my daughter and graduation.

I met Christopher Bruce early in my career and re-connected with him after law school. After taking the Florida Bar exam, I began working for Bruce Law Firm as a Law Clerk while awaiting the results of the Florida Bar. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Christopher Bruce and his team.
